Speaker: Scott M Damrauer, Penn Heart and Vascular Center, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA
Dr. Damrauer is a surgeon-scientist who graduated Harvard Medical School and completed his general surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital before joining University of Pennsylvania as an Assistant Professor of Surgery on the tenure track in 2014. His research is focused on understanding the genetics of heart and vascular disease at the population scale. In this, he has focused primarily on disease that he also treats clinically: peripheral artery disease (PAD), venous thromboembolism (VTE), abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), and thoracic aortic disease (TAD).
Dr. Damrauer has been invited by the Vascular Surgery Research Group to act as opponent for Andrew Buckler’s thesis on Friday Oct 21st.
