About this webinar

Radiumhemmets Forskningsfonder funding supports projects across the full cancer care pathway, from prevention and earlier detection to more accurate diagnostics, better treatments, rehabilitation, reduced side effects and palliative care.

Join us for this insightful webinar, where Radiumhemmets Forskningsfonder's Secretary General Magdalena Nilsson, Chair of Scientific Review Committee Mef Nilbert and Economy Case Officer Mariann Eklund will present Radiumhemmets Forskningsfonder's annual calls and the types of research they support, including projects focused on earlier cancer detection, more accurate diagnostics, improved surgery, radiotherapy and medical treatments, rehabilitation, reduced side effects and quality of life during and after treatment.

Participants will also learn more about the funds’ main areas of support, including research project grants, academic positions and protected research time, infrastructure support, and travel, course and conference grants.

The webinar will provide practical information about the application process, assessment criteria and important deadlines, as well as guidance on how to demonstrate patient benefit and clinical relevance. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical guidance, application requirements and common mistakes to avoid when applying.

The webinar will also include three short presentations from Hildur Helgadottir, Ann Nordgren and Felix Haglund de Flon whose projects have been supported by Radiumhemmets Forskningsfonder, offering concrete examples of the type of research they fund and the potential impact of this support.

This webinar is especially relevant for researchers working in cancer research within the Stockholm Region and Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital who are interested in future funding opportunities from Radiumhemmets Forskningsfonder.

The webinar will be recorded and available on Cancer Research KI's website afterwards.
