Susanna Larsson's research focuses on identifying modifiable and genetic risk factors for chronic diseases. We conduct large-scale epidemiological studies using prospective cohorts, biobanks, and multi-omics data to examine the role of diet, lifestyle, circulating biomarkers, microbiome, and genetic variation in disease development. By integrating observational and genetic epidemiology, we seek to generate evidence that can inform strategies to prevent chronic diseases and promote healthy aging.
