Second 24 hour Live Robotic Surgery Event on October 26

The second Worldwide 24 hour live Robotic Surgery Event will be held on the 26th October 2015.

12 of the worlds’ leading robotic centers from 4 different continents are incorporated in the Robotic Surgery Event. All the surgeons operating are experienced live surgeons, who have contributed to the development and advancement of the current definition of excellence in robotics.

Presentations will be covering multiple areas of interest from leaders in the relevant fields. This will include presentations on the EAU Robotic Curriculum, basic and advanced simulation training and other technology driven approaches to training. There will also be presentations on innovative approaches to complex multi-step surgery and the benefits of standardised robotic surgery. Other varied topics for discussion include media in health-care, enhanced recovery protocols in robotics and the future benefits of wide access networks in robotic surgery.

The studio channel will run continuously throughout the 24 hours and will monitor and respond to the audience contributions via Microsoft Yammer and Twitter. Please register for Yammer and if you use Twitter end your tweet with #wrse24. There will also be live studio links to multiple surprise guests via Skype and the opportunity to contribute to live debates via a Microsoft Yammer poll app that will be available on the day.
