Abstract
Life began on an inhospitable Earth with LUCA, the Last Universal Common Ancestor, around 4 billion years ago. Through exchanges, mergers, and evolution among bacteria, archaea, and viruses, complex cells—the eukaryotes—emerged, giving rise to all living beings. From single-celled protists to the diversity of life today, this long history shaped the living world—and us. I will tell this story through my drawings and films.
“Cells – The Illustrated Story of Life” published by The Experiment – an independant New York publisher – is available as book and ebook since december 2025 in bookstores and on all platforms. The art & science book and ebook containing more than 250 drawings and illustrations are sold for less than 30 dollars. They can be ordered from the publisher’s site
