I det första seminariet i serien kommer Kristine Sørensen och Josefin Wångdahl att prata om hälsolitteracitet, vad det är och varför det är viktigt. Seminariet hålls på engelska.

"Health Literacy – what is it and why is it important?"
In the first part of the seminar, the concept of Health Literacy and its significance for equitable access to health will be introduced. Insights will be shared on how the Health Literacy agenda has changed over time and how it is being integrated in research, policy and practice around the world. Concrete examples will be provided from the work of the World Health Organization; governments, and health providers. Moreover, recommendations will be shared on how to shape Health Literacy by design. In the second part of the seminar, gives as short overview of Health Literacy research and practices in Sweden.
