Title: Improving access to dental care for the elderly using teledentistry
Cl A/Prof Christina Sim is a Senior Consultant at the Prosthodontic Unit, Department of Restorative Dentistry, NDCS. She graduated with a BDS degree from the National University of Singapore and obtained an MSc degree from the University of London. She received further training in dental implantology and aesthetic dentistry at Loma Linda University under a Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan award. In 2018, she obtained her PhD degree from the University of Melbourne under a National Medical Research Council Research Training Fellowship.
Dr Sim’s work profile is divided between clinical, education and research. Currently she is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and a Clinical Associate Professor, involved in the graduate prosthodontics residency program at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. She is also a member of the Dental Specialist Accreditation Committee for Prosthodontics. Her research interests include anti-cariogenic therapeutics and population health.
