Title: Investigating the effects of Bcl-2 inhibition with venetoclax on longitudinal bone growth
Summary: Bone-related toxicities represent a common complication during treatment for childhood cancer. Venetoclax is a Bcl-2 inhibitor which has been approved for adult patients and is currently under investigation in pediatric cancer clinical trials. However, Bcl-2 pathway plays also a crucial role during development and bone growth. In the present project, we aimed to investigate any negative off-target effects of venetoclax on the bone tissue by applying different experimental models, including an in vivo neuroblastoma model.
