Title: Malignant DFFB Isoform Switching Promotes Leukemia Survival in Relapse Pediatric T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Summary: Most children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) survive with modern treatment. However, for children who relapse the prognosis remains poor, especially in children with T cell ALL (T-ALL). By studying RNA-sequencing data from patients diagnosed with T-ALL, we have identified a distinct RNA splice isoform pattern characteristic for relapse patients compared to patients at diagnosis, with deregulation of the spliceosome and apoptosis pathway. In addition, we identified several genes undergoing isoform switching, favoring pro-survival isoforms in T-ALL compared to normal healthy stem cells.

Title: Effect of Chemotherapy on Plasma Proteins in Children with Solid Tumors. A Part of the ISAC-project.
Summary: This is a sub-study of a large immune profiling program called ISAC (Immune System Against Cancer). Preliminary results from 38 children show differences in the change of plasma protein levels after induction chemotherapy depending on the types of chemotherapy received.
