Prof. Carl Turesson is a senior lecturer, consultant and specialist working at Lund University. He also leads a research group dedicated in wide areas of rheumatology, with an emphasis on chronic arthritic disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis), giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica and primary Sjögrens syndrome. Major parts of the research are based on long term follow-up of clinical materials, and on identification of incident cases with rheumatic disease among participants in large population based studies.
