Dario Greco is a professor of bioinformatics at Tampere University and a professor of pharmaceutical bioinformatics at the University of Helsinki. He also leads FHAIVE, a Finnish hub for development and validation of integrated approaches in toxicology, and he coordinates the Finnish 3R Centre.
Greco has published over 190 peer-reviewed works in nanotoxicology, toxicogenomics, and bioinformatics, with his research cited over 11,000 times. His work, funded by various prestigious organizations including the EU and the Academy of Finland, primarily focuses on developing methods to replace animal experiments in biomedicine. Greco currently leads significant projects like the ERC project ARCHIMEDES, aimed at pulmonary fibrosis research, and coordinates various EU projects for advancing biomedicine and toxicology.
