Most welcome to the seminar on the DIetary Nitric Oxide (DINO) study, a large clinical trial (n=231) with focus on dietary nitrate intake (vegetables) and its effect on blood pressure.

About the Speaker

Michaela is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in dietetics from Uppsala University. She worked at the medical unit for clinical nutrition at Karolinska University Hospital before starting as a research assistant at Karolinska Institutet. In 2014 she was registered as a PhD student in Prof. Jon Lundbergs group at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, KI. Her work has been focused on clinical studies regarding the “nitrate-nitrite-NO pathway” and effect on blood pressure. In April 2020 she successfully defended her thesis “The Role of Dietary Nitrate in Regulation of Blood Pressure and Metabolism”.
