Abstract

How do the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards Of Care version 8 (SOC8) recommendations help the voice specialist? Published expectations based on research, clinical expertise, and client need have an important role in advancing access and quality of care around the world. In the clinical setting there are a variety of models that follow and perhaps exceed these expectations. Using the SOC8, recent peer-reviewed literature, and guided discussion, participants in this session will develop creative and innovative approaches to providing voice and communication care for trans and gender-diverse people.
