Hello there, Birgitta Lönnerberg!
Hello there, Birgitta Lönnerberg, IT-specialist and Microsoft Certified Trainer in Teams and Office 365!
How do you view the transformation that has taken place over the past year?
- We have gone digital from being analogue. From mostly holding and attending physical meetings, most people can now use Zoom and Teams.
- I have been working remotely since March last year. Holding trainings has been very positive! I have had over 1500 participants in over 100 distance learning courses this year. They have brought together participants who otherwise would not have been on the same course or would otherwise have been physically impractical to complete. It's something that has been incredibly positive and something that really means being an ambassador for "One KI". Digitalisation has created a kind of participation and community that would not otherwise have been possible.
What do you think we need to be able to work flexibly?
- First and foremost: make sure the workplace works. It must work ergonomically but also digitally. How many screens do you need? How should they be positioned? I put my laptop right under my other screens, with the camera in the middle. Try what works best for you!
You may need training to improve your digital skills. Make sure you know how to use the basic tools in Office 365.
It's not just digital tools, it's a whole new way of working. Yes - it can be hard to do something in a new way when you're used to doing it in a different way.
What will your flexible way of working look like in the future?
- The big challenge will be to hold good hybrid meetings, that is with some participants in the room and some remotely. It is easier to have everyone at a distance or everyone on site.
As for my own courses, I think I'll run scheduled courses at a distance and ordered courses for small groups on campus. But we'll see how that develops!
