Forskningsanslag - Stiftelsen Kempe-Carlgrenska fonden 

Stiftelsen välkomnar ansökningar från doktorander/post doc/forskare vars arbete är på hög vetenskaplig nivå och gällande barn eller ungdoms psykosociala situation och skolgång. Stiftelsen delar i första hand ut skattefria stipendier till doktorander (18 000 kr/månad) och post-doc (25 000 kr/månad). Ibland beviljas forskningsanslag. Projektledaren ska i så fall dokumentera sina meriter genom ett vidimerat cv och institutionens administrative chef/motsvarande, intyga att projektet bedrivs vid den aktuella institutionen.

Projektbidrag och kliniska forskarmånader - Centrum för Innovativ Medicin (CIMED)

CIMED utlyser projektmedel för kliniska forskningsprojekt och forskarmånader för kliniskt verksamma forskare för 2025-2027. Bidragen kan sökas i samma ansökan. Medel söks av enskild kliniskt inriktad junior eller senior forskare med sin verksamhet knuten till en av institutionerna på Karolinska Institutet vid Campus Flemingsberg. Forskningsprojektet ska helt vara förlagt till Campus Flemingsberg, med 1-2 medsökande per projekt. Bidragstid för projektbidrag är 1 till 3 år med 0,3 till 1,0 MSEK/år. Bidragsbelopp för kliniska forskarmånader (1-3 månader) är 130 000 kr/månad.

Forskningsanslag - ÅForsk stiftelsen

Stödjer forskning och utveckling inom energi, miljö, hållbarhet, utveckling av processer, infrastruktur, material, produkter från förnybara källor och säkerhet. Tre typer av anslag kan sökas: i) ung forskare , max fem år från disputation. Anslaget gäller för endast ett år, maxbelopp är 500 000 kr inkl totalt max 30% omkostnadspåslag (OH).  ii) Samverkansprojekt mellan akademi/industri, medfinansiering från antingen universitet/högskolor eller företag är en bonus. Anslaget kan sökas för max tre år. iii) Generell forskning, anslag kan sökas för max tre år.

Forskningsstipendier - Riksföreningen för anestesi och intensivvård (Rf AnIva) 

Rf AnIva strävar efter att synliggöra forskningsresultat samt att det kliniska arbetet sker ur ett evidensbaserat perspektiv. Forskningsstipendium anslås därför varje år i syfte att stödja sjuksköterskors forskningsarbete inom anestesi, intensivvård eller närliggande verksamhetsområden. Forskningsstipendiet är för närvarande på 40 000 kronor. Sökande ska vara registrerad som doktorand, bedriva forskning inom anestesi, intensivvård eller närliggande verksamhetsområden och vara medlem hos Rf AnIva.

Forskningsprojekt – Sjöbergstiftelsen

Stiftelsen ger bidrag till cancerforskning inom forskningsområdena: (i) Förebyggande åtgärder och omvårdnad inklusive komplementär och integrativ medicin och åtgärder mot långsiktiga komplikationer; (ii) Tidig diagnostik samt svårbehandlad cancer med dålig prognos och även ”drug repurposing”. Inom ovanstående forskningsområden kan också olika forskargrupper lämna in en gemensam större ansökan (>6 000 000 kr) avseende bidrag till uppbyggnad och konsolidering av nationellt nätverk för forskning.

Stiftelsens ändamål är att främja vetenskapliga studier och forskning som täcker olika typer av farmaceutisk forskning från tidig läkemedelsutveckling till läkemedelsanvändning. Societeten delar årligen ut stipendier för farmaceutisk forskning, utbildning, verksamhet samt bidrag till behövande. Du kan söka stipendier för fort- och vidareutbildning, för konferenser och resor under forskarutbildning samt för postdoktorala studier utomlands efter avlagd doktorsexamen. Stipendier för resebidrag för att möjliggöra examensarbete utomlands inom läkemedelsområdet om minst 30 hp under 2024. Post doc-stipendium om max 600 000 kronor för att främja grundläggande läkemedelsforskning under ett år (heltid) vid ett välrenommerat universitet utomlands eller i Sverige efter avlagd doktorsexamen med möjlighet till förlängning ytterligare ett år. Stipendier endast kan sökas för resekostnader, ej för boende mm.

This program supports fundamental, translational and clinical research projects. The 2024 Spring call for FJL Grants is aiming at supporting fundamental, translational and clinical research programs related to Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities of genetic origin with early onset such as Fragile-X syndrome, Rett syndrome, Smith-Magenis syndrome, Cri du chat syndrome, Williams-Beuren syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Angelman syndrome, among others.

Autism not linked to the above diseases is excluded from this call.

To that end, proposals submitted under this topic should aim for delivering results that are directed, tailored towards and contributing to at least two of the following expected outcomes:

  • Evidence of efficacy, safety and clinical utility for health care professionals and clinicians in sub-Saharan Africa about novel, targeted HIV therapeutics that improve treatment outcomes and quality of life;
  • Innovative HIV therapeutics that have demonstrated meaningful advances over existing therapeutic interventions for patients living with HIV in terms of their ability to improve efficacy, safety, adherence, quality of life and reduce HIV-associated mortality and morbidity.
  • Public health authorities and policy makers have information from comprehensive clinical trial data on the overall health effects of novel therapeutic HIV interventions, helping them to draft updated or new evidence-based clinical guidelines and best practices as well as design tailor-made HIV policies.

Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) through R&D in novel and existing antimicrobials - HORIZON-JU-GH-EDCTP3-2024-01-04-two-stage

Expected Outcome:

Proposals under this topic should aim to deliver results that are directed, tailored towards, and contributing to the following expected outcomes. Proposals need to address at least two of these, with the first bullet point being compulsory:

  • Improvement of the use of existing antimicrobials to reduce AMR and providing data contributing to their equitable access in sub-Saharan Africa, and/or the advancement of late-stage clinical R&D of novel antimicrobials with improved properties (efficacy, safety, resistance pattern, useability) in the clinical trials pipeline;
  • Data about development and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) processes to optimise the use of antimicrobial medicines in human health and reduce antimicrobial resistance (AMR), employing the One Health approach;
  • Effective infection prevention control measures, sanitation and hygiene to reduce the need for and the use of antimicrobial medicines.

This topic aims at supporting activities that contribute to one or several of the expected outcomes for this call. Proposals under this topic should aim to deliver results that are contributing to the following expected outcomes:

  • Development, improvement and/or scaling-up of digital innovative solutions supporting clinical research through smart, highly innovative digital health technologies or concepts to accelerate the development of preventive, therapeutic or diagnostic interventions addressing poverty-related diseases in sub-Saharan Africa;
  • Development, improvement and/or scale-up of new digital technologies in public health interventions that can serve as drivers for the strengthening of health systems in sub-Saharan Africa. Research on existing Malaria vaccines and development of new promising candidates - HORIZON-JU-GH-EDCTP3-2024-01-02-two-stage

Abstract: Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 (PASC), also referred to as long COVID, is defined as signs, symptoms, and conditions that continue or develop after initial COVID-19 infection. Such signs, symptoms, and conditions linger or develop 4 or more weeks following the acute infection, and can last weeks, months, and even years. Furthermore, PASC-related symptoms are wide ranging, and can have cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, dermatologic, endocrine, psychiatric and/or neurological manifestations, including sensory dysfunction and cognitive-communication difficulties. Further research is critical to understand the symptomatology, pathogenesis, and underlying mechanisms of PASC. NIDCD invites applications for research on PASC in relation to NIDCD’s scientific programs of hearing, balance, taste, smell, voice, speech and language. When appropriate, NIDCD encourages multi-disciplinary approaches to move the research beyond in vitro and animal models.

Alzheimer's Association Clinician Scientist Fellowship (AACSF) Program - The Alzheimer's Association recognizes the need to support the training of clinician scientists in Alzheimer's and all other dementias. The areas of research that the clinician scientist proposes for funding are not limited to patient-oriented, human subject research, but may also include translational research specifically designed to develop treatments or enhance diagnosis of neurological disease. Disease related basic science studies not directly involving humans or human tissue are also encouraged.

Organelle Communication - We seek a set of creative proposals that elucidate new perspectives on inter-organelle communication via membrane-membrane contact sites, with a focus on discovering new biological principles in these interactions. Such new perspectives on membrane contact sites include exploration of new fundamental biological functions and mechanisms of action (e.g., via metabolic compartmentalization), and functional characterization of dynamic changes in membrane contact sites in time and intracellular space (e.g., mechanisms of regulation, coordination, and integration with other cellular processes and components).

Membrane Biophysics - We seek a set of creative proposals that develop new experimental approaches for probing the biophysics of cellular membranes to explore and reveal essential aspects of the interplay between membrane form, function, and dynamics. Such approaches encompass new technologies for perturbing, analyzing, and observing cellular membranes (with priority given to non-imaging-based technologies, for example leveraging material sciences, etc.) and/or new analytical frameworks (including prioritizing integration of theory and creative uses of new or existent model systems and their combinations).
