Forskningsprojekt - Fonden för Psykisk Hälsa (FPH)
FPH stödjer psykiatrisk, psykologisk och suicidpreventiv forskning i Sverige och delar ut forskningsmedel till registrerade doktorander som har genomfört sin halvtidskontroll och till postdoktorala forskare inom fem år från disputation. Forskningsmedel delas maximalt ut tre gånger till en och samma sökande. År 2023 riktar sig en särskild utlysning av FPH med Suicide Zero till unga forskare som är verksamma inom suicidforskning och suicidprevention. Andra utlysning med Stiftelsen Frimurarna Barnhuset i Stockholm (SFBS) omfattar forskning kring barn och ungdomar med psykisk ohälsa.

Utbildnings- och resestipendium – Bröstcancerförbundet
Detta möjliggör individuella kompetensutvecklande aktiviteter som deltagande i konferenser och kurser. Kan sökas av medlemmar av bröstcancerföreningar inom Bröstcancerförbundet. Stipendium uppgår som mest till SEK 10,000 per person. Stipendiet täcker kostnader för hotell, resa och registreringsavgift för konferensen.

Research grants, Nordic region - Novo Nordisk Fonden (NNF)
- Excellence emerging investigator grant within endocrinology and metabolism: Aims to support and strengthen the development of young and promising research leaders, and to promote Nordic research at a high international level. The call is targeted starting group leaders with ambitious projects within endocrinology and metabolism that aim to understand the human organism and the mechanisms underlying health and disease at a basic and clinical level. Four grants are available for funding and NNF aims at awarding at least one of these grants to an active clinician researcher.
- Ascending investigator grant within endocrinology and metabolism: Aims to stimulate the continued development of excellent research leaders, and promote Nordic research at a high international level. NNF seeks to support the consolidation of accomplished associate professors with ambitious projects within endocrinology and metabolism to understand the human organism and the mechanisms underlying health and disease at a basic and clinical level. Three grants are available for funding.
- Distinguished investigator grant within endocrinology and metabolism: Aims to support outstanding professors with ambitious projects within endocrinology and metabolism to understand the human organism and the mechanisms underlying health and disease at a basic and clinical level. NNF will award up to two grants.

Resestipendier - Vårdprofessioner Inom Cardiologi
Vårdprofessioner inom Cardiologi inbjuder ansökningar om resestipendier. Dessa stöder medlemmars deltagande i utbildningsdagar, konferenser, kongresser och studiebesök, nationellt som internationellt, inom hjärtsjukvård. Då resor är en svårighet i denna situation så kommer man att kunna ansöka om resestipendium för digitala utbildningar, kongresser och events. Den totala budgeten är SEK 40,000 per år och stöder kostnader för resor, utbildningsdagar, kongressavgifter och uppehälle.

Stipendium och forskningsbidrag - Riksförbundet Cystisk Fibros, Cecilia Falkmans Minnesfond
Fonden främjar vetenskaplig, klinisk och social forskning samt annan verksamhet rörande cystisk fibros genom att i första hand bidra till utbildning, information och erfarenhetsutbyte av såväl medicinsk personal som andra personer verksamma med att bekämpa cystisk fibros. Behöriga att söka är forskare/forskarstuderande vid vetenskapliga institutioner och medicinsk personal vid sjukhus, som samverkar med CF center eller vars forskning kan förväntas medföra inflytande på vården av patienter med CF.

Research grants - Nordic Federation of Societies of Obstetrics and Gynecology (NFSOG)
NFSOG provides support for development of professional skills, research, and clinical and scientific collaboration in the fields of obstetrics and gynaecology within the Nordic countries. The following activities within obstetrics and gynaecology may be supported: (i) clinical or scientific visits outside country of residence with the purpose of improving skills or developing and sharing expertise; (ii) voluntary or project work in or regarding developing countries; (iii) courses outside the applicant's country of residence; (iv) collaborative clinical or scientific projects between members of the national societies of NFOG. The five national societies of NFOG can apply for the coverage of expenses to bring lecturers from the other Nordic countries to speak at meetings arranged by the societies. Grants may cover course fees, travelling expenses, accommodation, meeting expenses, expenses related to work in developing countries and speakers fees. Eligible are members of the national societies of NFOG, who are specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology or trainees with two years of specialist training.

Östersjöstiftelsen utlyser medel för forskning och forskningssamarbeten om Östersjöregionen och Östeuropa. Stiftelsens utlysningar är öppna att söka för forskare såväl i som utanför Sverige.

Sigbrith Björkelunds Stiftelse
Sigbrith Björkelunds Stiftelse delar ut bidrag till kvinnliga forskare vid Karolinska Institutet eller Uppsala Universitet verksamma inom områdena neurologi, psykiatri eller hjärt-kärlsjukdomar. Stiftelsens bidrag avser i första hand att finansiera kostnader i samband med vistelse vid forskningsinstitution utanför Sverige, bidrag som på annat sätt stödjer mottagarens forskningsarbete kan även komma i fråga.
Mottagare ska ha avlagt läkarexamen och antingen befinna sig i senare delen av utbildningen på forskarnivå eller ha avlagt doktorsexamen under de fem senaste åren.
För utdelning 2024 avser Stiftelsen att lämna ett eller flera bidrag, preliminärt inom ramen 100 000 kronor.
Closing date: 31 december 2023 för medel som primärt avses att nyttjas under perioden juli 2024 – juni 2025.

EASO-Novo Nordisk Foundation obesity prize for excellence - European Association for the Study of Obesity, GB and other funders
This new award recognizes outstanding research or technological contributions to the understanding of obesity, its etiology, complications, prevention and treatment. The prize is supported by a grant of DKK 2 million, of which DKK 300,000 is a personal grant to the winner (please note that the grant is for new research, it is not intended to top up existing research).

EASO-Novo Nordisk Foundation new investigator awards - European Association for the Study of Obesity
EASO is also pleased to announce the EASO-Novo Nordisk Foundation new investigator awards in basic science, clinical research, childhood obesity and public health. The awards will be conferred based on excellence and clear commitment to the chosen area of obesity research.

Training course and workshop awards - European Society for Paediatric Infectious Disease (ESPID)
The European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases invites applications for its training course and workshop awards. These support the organisation of training courses and workshops in paediatric infectious diseases. Events may be directed at clinical trainees, continuing medical education for career grade doctors, or both.
Courses or workshops must be held in a European location. Applicants must be members of ESPID and courses must offer reduced registration fees for ESPID members.
Awards are worth up to €12,000 each and covers essential costs of the meeting such as administration costs, hire of premises and equipment, travel subsistence and accommodation costs for teachers and delegates. Funding covers 50 per cent of eligible costs

Meeting organiser grants - Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS)
The Federation of European Microbiological Societies invites applications for its meeting organiser grants. These support scientific conferences, laboratory workshops and training courses held in Europe.
A minimum of 60 per cent of the total grant value must be used to support the attendance of early-career scientists.

Science prize - Lush Cosmetics
This prize aims to stimulate worldwide research in 21st century toxicology with a view to replacing animal tests completely.
In 2019 Lush Prize decided to re-focus its criteria for awarding its science prizes on projects most likely to lead to practical non-animal tests which could be accepted by regulators.
The most promising approaches include: adverse outcome pathways, organs on chips, and computational toxicology. Lush Prize is also particularly interested in human relevant adverse outcome pathways for systemic toxicology or developmental toxicology.

Abstract: CZI seeks to support projects that will advance the fields of single-cell biology and data science. Projects may include dedicated efforts to democratize access and usability of existing single-cell datasets, demonstrate utility by leveraging existing single-cell datasets to address impactful and challenging biological questions, and develop methods that enable greater biological insight and other major challenges brought forward. This request for applications is the last of three currently planned cycles, with successful projects receiving 18 months of funding support. Awards are a maximum of $400,000 in total costs for Expanded Projects, and $200,000 in total costs for Focused Projects
Lasker Foundation, US – Nominations Now Open For 2024 Lasker Awards

Amount: Each award includes a $250,000 honorarium and an inscribed statuette of the Winged Victory of Samothrace, symbolizing victory over death and disease. When the award is given to more than one individual per category, the honorarium is equally divided among winners.
Eligibility:
Anyone who has made an original and significant contribution in basic or clinical medical research, or in public service, is eligible for nomination. Lasker Awards are highly competitive and are bestowed on individuals whose work opens new areas of biomedical science or public service. Award winners may reside in any country of the world.
Abstract:
The Lasker Foundation announces the opening of its public nominations period for the 2024 Lasker Awards in biomedical research and advocacy. Nominations will be accepted for three prize categories: Basic Medical Research, Clinical Medical Research, and Public Service. The coveted Lasker Award is widely regarded within the medical community as the country's preeminent biomedical science prize.
Nominations will be accepted through February 5, 2024. Winners will be announced in September 2024. Nominations may be submitted through the Foundation's website, which details requirements for both individual and team nominations of up to three individuals. Submissions for women and minorities are encouraged.
