Brottsofferfonden stödjer forskningsprojekt där det övergripande målet är att öka kunskapen om brottsoffer och förbättra bemötandet och stödet till brottsoffer. Forskning kan bedrivas inom olika ämnesområden, till exempel kriminologi, sociologi, psykologi, socialt arbete, rättsvetenskap, ekonomi, media och medicin. Doktorandprojekt finansieras om en disputerad forskare står som huvudsökande.

Fellowship in health care research – Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden)
Grants gives researchers at Swedish institutions the opportunity to engage in research in this field for a period of three years, or conduct research at a department abroad during either a part or entire funding period. Research project must be in the field of patient-related research and interventions that aim to provide cancer patients and their families with a good quality of life and health during and after diagnosis and treatment, in areas of nursing, behavioral therapy interventions, physical activity, projects in diet and nutrition, aid and assistance, rehabilitation, palliation and support for relatives, experiences, attitudes and insights in conjunction to cancer. Fellowships can be applied for to cover the applicant's own salary corresponding to full-time research, or part-time corresponding to 50–70% of full-time where the remaining time is devoted to, for example, clinical work, or teaching.

Forskningsanslag - Svensk Reumatologisk Förening i samarbete med Amgen
Anslaget stöder experimentell eller klinisk forskning kring psoriasisartrit eller annan artritsjukdom. Behöriga att söka är medlemmar i föreningen som betalat medlemsavgift innevarande år samt året dessförinnan. Sökande ska även vara kliniskt verksam läkare inom reumatologi (ST-läkare eller specialist) som är registrerad som doktorand eller har disputerat under de senaste 5 åren (eventuell föräldraledighet räknas av). MSB utlyser medel för finansiering av postdoktorala tjänster inom området samhällsskydd och beredskap med öppen eller internationell inriktning. För den internationella inriktningen är syftet även att erbjuda ett stöd för att stärka relationen mellan svenska och nordamerikanska forskare. Forskningen ska utgå från ett behov i samhället och på sikt leda till ny förståelse, nya metoder eller nya produkter som skapar ett säkrare samhälle.

New call – SSF Adjunct professor or adjunct lecturer
SSF announces for the second time the program Adjunct professor, now with the addition adjunct lecturer. The announcement is aimed at highly qualified people employed in Swedish business, healthcare providers or government authorities who are seeking employment as either an adjunct professor or an adjunct lecturer at a Swedish university.
SSF has set aside SEK 15 million for ten grants, corresponding to approximately 10 percent of a part-time position as an adjunct professor or lecturer, over a period of three to six years. Since the scope of such a position is normally 20 percent, one day a week, co-financing is required for the remainder from the main employer.
The researcher must conduct strategic research within one of the foundation’s areas; science, technology or medicine.
The project must start between May 1 and December 1, 2024.

The Bertebos Prize 2024
KSLA has the privilege of inviting prominent people and organizations to nominate candidates for the Bertebos Prize 2024. Candidates should have contributed to significant research and development within the field of food innovation and development.
Nominations should include justification, CV and references to up to five scientific papers elucidating the candidates’ most significant achievements in research and development.

EHA Bilateral collaborative grants
These aim to encourage and support collaboration between two independent research groups in basic/translational hematology research, that are located in two different European countries.
Bilateral Collaborative Grants are for proposals showing a mutual need to answer a specific research question. The teams must demonstrate complementarity of expertise besides the complementarity of approach.
The grant is for 2 years, at €160.000 per year to be divided between the two research groups.
Ideally, the budget is divided 50:50 between the two groups. If this is not the case, a justification must be provided. In any case, no more than 70% of the total grant should be allocated to any one team.

EHA Research Grants
These enable early-career researchers in the field of haematology to advance their career towards becoming the leader of a research group. Research must be basic or translational lab-based research. The following awards are available:
- Junior research grant for researchers doing basic research within four years of their PhD graduation - worth €50,000 per year for two years.
- Advanced research grant for researchers doing basic research four to eight years after their PhD graduation - worth €80,000 per year for two years.
- Physician scientist research grant for physicians who are involved in patient care, are within four years after PhD or MD graduation, or haematology training, have a proven track record in research by publications and have at least 50 per cent protected time for performing the research project - worth €80,000 per year for two years.

ESOT Transplant Fellowship
These support young European professionals in attending a clinical and academic programme at another European institution in order to acquire knowledge and skills.
- There are two ESOT Transplant Fellowships available – a Basic Science/Translational Science fellowship and a Clinical fellowship – to acquire knowledge and skills by working in a European institution for a period of one year.
- Young graduates residing and working in Europe who wish to undertake a research project in the field of basic or clinical transplantation. Projects leading to a doctoral degree or as part of a post-doctoral project will be prioritised.
- Two grants are available, offering €55,000 to each successful applicant.

European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) and Lilly EXPLORING AND APPLYING NEW STRATEGIES IN DIABETES (EXPAND) Programme
The European Association for the Study of Diabetes invites applications for its EFSD/Lilly exploring and applying new strategies in diabetes expand programme. This supports diabetes research projects on potential strategies that can be implemented in Europe and rolled out in low- and middle income countries to favour the improvement of quality of care for people living with diabetes. Applications within any area of clinical diabetes research may be submitted, with an emphasis on:
- Prevention of diabetes.
- Diagnosis and management of all forms of diabetes.
- Diagnosis, management and prevention of diabetes-related microvascular and macrovascular complications.
Research will be supported through the award of grants, each of up to 150.000 Euro. The division of the budget should be around 70% to LMIC and 30% to the European country.

Role of gut microbiota in the mechanisms of pain - Biocodex Microbiota Foundation
The Biocodex Microbiota Foundation invites applications for its international grants. These support clinical or fundamental research projects focused on human gut microbiota related to health and disease. For the current round, projects must focus on the role of gut microbiota in the mechanisms of pain.

Abstract: The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to promote the discovery, development, and validation of real-world digital endpoints derived from data generated by existing remote or wearable devices. These endpoints will be used for monitoring the experience of pain, its progression, response to interventions, and impact on quality of life. In this NOFO, endpoints refer to biosignatures obtained from functional and physiological assessments captured by remote or wearable devices. Development of digital endpoints will involve clinical research using existing wearable or remote devices, with a specific focus on selecting and validating novel measurements as appropriate digital endpoints for pain assessment. The proposed digital endpoints may focus on a specific pain condition or encompass multiple pain conditions. Applications aiming to identify digital endpoints across various pain conditions should involve Multiple Principal Investigator (MPI)-led teams that represent each relevant pain condition and associated clinical networks. These teams should collaborate to discover, develop, and validate digital endpoints that accurately measure pain and related outcomes, such as quality of life or appropriate pain-related functional measures. In addition, the applicant should include experts in digital technology, data analysis, and advanced statistical methods to handle real-world data. Applicants must establish centralized resource groups responsible for coordinating clinical trials, standardizing sample or data collection methods, technology development, statistical analysis, and algorithm development across all pain conditions under investigation. he final products of this effort would be algorithms and software designed to analyze data from existing remote or wearable technologies. The goal is to demonstrate that digital biosignatures or digital functional assessments, serving as digital endpoints, are sensitive and objective measures of clinical benefit.

Abstract:
- Academic Clinical Trials Program (ACT): this is a clinical trial award program designed to develop cutting edge treatments that will have meaningful impact for blood cancer patients. These awards will fund clinical trials, up to $1M USD over a period of up to three years. ACT initiative is designed to develop experimental agents to address unmet medical needs, expand the use of approved therapeutics, and improve the use of novel treatment regimens in clinical settings.
- The Translational Research Program (TRP) was formed to enhance the transfer of basic research findings to clinical usefulness. This program is for applications that propose novel approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of hematological malignancies and related pre-malignant conditions. Proposals should be based on molecular, cellular, or integrated systems findings and be conceptually innovative and with a clear plan for the eventual clinical translation of the studies proposed and the results expected.
- The Discovery Grant Program (DGP) is a research award program aimed at supporting cutting edge, innovative research that is discovery oriented, concerned with understanding blood cancer properties and vulnerabilities and aimed toward advancing treatments for blood cancers. This is intended for established academic investigators for support of foundational, early stage research that can lead to advances in the treatment and cure of blood cancers.
