Fonden har öppnat ansökan för rese- och utbildningsstipendier. Dessa medel delas ut två gånger per år och är i första hand avsedda för utbildningar (kurser och konferenser) med syftet att öka kunskapsnivån bland landets hematologer och hematologisjuksköterskor. I mars söks pengar för arrangemang som gäller för sommar/höst

Starting grant within educational sciences - Swedish Research Council
Applications are invited for a starting grant within educational sciences, to enable junior researchers in the field of educational sciences to establish themselves as independent researchers in Sweden. Eligible to apply are individual researchers who have completed a Swedish doctoral degree or a corresponding foreign degree more than two years ago and up to seven years ago. Applicants must be project leaders and have a project activity level corresponding to at least 50 per cent of a full-time equivalent. Grants are worth between SEK 400,000 and SEK 1 million per year each, for up to four years.

Consolidator Grant och Starting Grant - Svenska Sällskapet för Medicinsk Forskning (SSMF)
SSMF Consolidator Grant riktar sig mot forskare 7-12 år efter disputation och är ett ramanslag som syftar till att ge framstående forskare inom medicin möjlighet att stärka sin verksamhet som självständiga forskare.
SSMF Starting Grant är ett etableringsbidrag som kan sökas för forskning på heltid (2-7 år efter disputation) alternativt på halvtid i kombination med klinisk tjänst (2-10 år efter disputation).

Multidisciplinary Research Center for Medical Primary Prevention - Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF)
SSF announces a national call for proposals for a Multidisciplinary Research Centre for Medical Primary Prevention, MRC MedPrev. The goal of MRC MedPrev is to prevent illness and to provide the conditions for a healthier life and increased well-being for people of all ages with health care working actively to counteract illness and health problems, rather than focusing solely on the consequence of those already affected. The main arena is the primary care, an active research collaboration between academic institutions/hospitals and primary care units is requested to facilitate the long -term implementation of research results from MRC MedPrev. Applications where the majority of applicants represent general medicine and primary care and where primary care both in rural and urban areas are represented, will be prioritized. Application teams should contain of an applicant from a hosting Higher Educational Institution (HEI), co-applicants from 1–3 other HEIs or research institutes (RI), supported by at least two industrial and/or societal partners, such as Health Care Institutions. SSF will approve one MRC MedPrev application which will be granted with up-to 60 million SEK in total including overhead costs for a period of six years.

SUHF-utlysning - Fyra experter med högskolepedagogisk kompetens sökes till Det högskolepedagogiska lyftet
SUHF:s expertgrupp för högskolepedagogiska frågor har till uppgift att hantera uppdrag och frågor inom det högskolepedagogiska området. Inkluderat i uppdraget är under den närmaste perioden (2023-2024) att samarbeta med UHR kring ’det högskolepedagogiska lyftet’.
Under vårterminen 2023 utlyser UHR medel i form av projektpengar och stöd via UHR. UHR besitter dock inte forskningsbaserad kunskap inom de specifika områden där resurser allokeras.
För att aktiviteterna ska få legitimitet behövs expertkompetens i flera steg, både vad gäller framtagandet av planer för utlysningar och vad gäller prioriteringar, samt områden som behöver särskild uppmärksamhet på den plattform som UHR erbjuder.
Rolf Luft fellowship/stipend 2023 - for junior researchers in diabetes and metabolism
The Board of Rolf Luft Foundation for Diabetes Research has decided to announce fellowship/stipend 2023 to young researchers (post doc, 0-3 years after dissertation) at Universities in Sweden. 40 000 SEK is available for travel grants and/or fellowships to study at another University.
The application in English should include the following:
− Research plan (max 2 pages), CV including a list of publications.
− A short letter of recommendation from research group leader.
− Letter of invitation from the University to visit (from the supervisor to be).
− A budget. The application must state if the fellowship will be used for travel costs and/or for personal living costs during the post doc period.

Project grant - Worldwide Cancer Research
Worldwide Cancer Research invites applications for its project grants. These support basic, fundamental and translational research into the causes, mechanisms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. Clinical research, including clinical trials, patient care, nursing or healthcare delivery research as well as other types of applied cancer research such as policy, public health or psychosocial research are not eligible, although proposals that contain a small clinical element as an essential part of a basic or translational research project are often permitted.
PIs based at any non-profit research institute worldwide may apply. Applicants should have at least three years' post-PhD research experience or an equivalent qualification.
Grants are each worth up to £250,000 over one to three years, although most projects receive up to £200,000.
Please be aware that Worldwide Cancer Research Terms & Conditions conflict with Swedish laws and regulations. Therefore, if awarded, the Terms and Conditions for the contract must be reviewed and negotiated by KI’s legal office. Failure to this could potentially mean that the award will be declined by KI. Cancer grand challenges - Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and other funders, forthcoming
Cancer Research UK and the National Cancer Institute invite expressions of interest to their cancer grand challenges call. This enables global teams of multidisciplinary researchers to take on some of cancer's most complex challenges. Each shortlisted team will be awarded up to £30,000 seed-funding to get their teams off the ground and to help formulate their full application. Final awards are worth up to £20 million each over five years.

Research fellowship - European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology
This fellowship allows young dermatologists, trainees, or junior scientists from other basic science disciplines (post-doctoral scientists) to receive advanced training on basic or clinical research in Dermatology and Venereology in a high standard clinical or research center in a country other than their own for the duration of one year.
The ultimate goal of the fellowship is to support the initiation of an academic career by the Fellow/ Young Investigator, to transfer knowledge and technical skills to the Home Institution and promote the establishment of research collaborations among European and international centers.

Research grant - Cure Parkinson's Trust, GB
The Cure Parkinson's Trust invites applications for its research grants. These support laboratory or clinical research projects that have the potential to cure Parkinson's disease. Applications must be for research that slows, stops or reverses underlying disease progression. Priority is given to research which has potential to translate into the clinic within five years.
Applications are invited world wide. Grants are worth up to £250,000 each.

Urology scholarship - European Association of Urology (EAU)
The European Association of Urology invites applications for its scholarships. These support basic urology research at a European research institution for one year.
Applicants must be under 40 years of age, be urologists or urologists-in-training and be members of EAU. Applicants must have acquired a letter of acceptance from the chairman or programme director of the host institution.
The scholarship is worth up to €30,000 for each project, covering living costs, travel expenses and one round trip ticket.
Closing date 1 May, 2023. The deadlines for application are January 1, May 1 and September 1 of each year. This call is repeated 3 times a year.
ECCO grants - European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation, INT
These support innovative scientific research in the area of inflammatory bowel diseases in Europe. Young basic or clinical scientists up to the age of 40, or above if within five years of finishing gastrointestinal training or PhD graduation. They must be members of the society. Research is usually undertaken at the applicant's home institution.

The MSCA 2023 Postdoc fellowships call will open on April 12th. You can do a postdoc either within Europe with a 2-year fellowship (European Fellowship), or outside Europe (2 years) with a mandatory 1-year return phase to Europe with the 3-year Global Fellowship.

Eligibility: Grants will be given to organizations that demonstrate that they have competent management who have a history of delivering results in an effective and cost efficient manner.
Abstract: The ResMed Foundation's key mission is to promote novel research as well as public and clinician awareness of sleep disordered breathing (SDB) and other respiratory disorders, with a primary focus on positive airway pressure and ventilation-based treatments. The Foundation will consider proposals focused on the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and management of SDB and other respiratory disorders. Research areas of interest include the most common and/or impactful comorbidities that are associated with SDB. The ResMed Foundation is particularly interested in:
- Research proposals that utilize advanced analytics and data science, especially the use of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), in the analysis of large sets of data from a variety of relevant sources.

Cystinosis Research Foundation - Research Proposals and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships

Amount: Currently, the Cystinosis Research Foundation has $5 Million available for research and fellowship grants. The number of awards and the awarded amount will depend on the number of outstanding proposals and the funds available at the time. Research and fellowship grants are awarded for 1-2 years. Postdoctoral Fellowships: The total award cannot exceed $75,000 per year including overhead. The Cystinosis Research Foundation will generally provide up to 10% of indirect costs.
Eligibility: First priority will be given to “named” postdoctoral trainees. However, investigators who are already studying cystinosis can apply for a fellowship position with the expectation of attracting a suitable postdoctoral fellow within a year. Pre-doctoral students, who are already studying cystinosis, will be considered if funding is available.
Abstract: The goal of the Cystinosis Research Foundation is to find better treatments and a cure for cystinosis. Research and fellowship applications must be consistent with the mission and goals of the foundation in order to be considered.
Research Proposals: The Cystinosis Research Foundation is prepared to fund proposals to improve the immediate care of children and adults with cystinosis and to develop a new understanding and treatment of cystinosis in an effort to help these patients in the future.
Postdoctoral Fellowships: The Cystinosis Research Foundation created a postdoctoral research fellowship program to attract qualified, promising investigators to establish careers in cystinosis research. The fellow’s stipend should be the usual amount for such a trainee at the given applicant’s institution.
LGS Foundation - Cure LGS 365 Research Grants
Amount: $75,000USD. Projects may be funded at the $25,000, $50,000, or $75,000 level. Indirect costs are not permitted.
Eligibility: International applicants are welcome to apply.
Abstract: The LGS Foundation accepts unsolicited proposals year-round to seed new basic, translational, and clinical research projects on Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS). Projects may be on any novel topic in LGS but must be directly relevant to LGS, which is characterized by specific seizure types and hallmark EEG features.
American Tinnitus Association (ATA) - Innovative Grants Research Program
Amount: $60,000 Innovative Tinnitus Research Grant for Established Investigators; $25,000 Innovative Tinnitus Research Grant for Early Investigators
Eligibility: Applications are open to all researchers, regardless of career stage or international status. Applicants should submit their proposal under the appropriate funding level. Established Investigators: tinnitus researchers who have been in the field for at least 7 years or who have received substantial, independent research awards, such as an R01 or R01-equivalent. Early Investigators: tinnitus researchers who have not yet successfully competed for a substantial, independent research grant, and have completed their research degree and/or clinical training within the past 7 years.
