Four researchers awarded grants for collaboration between China and Sweden

The Swedish Research Council and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has decided on the applications of individualised diagnostics and prevention to be awarded grants within the call Project grant for cross-disciplinary collaboration between China and Sweden. All projects are contucted at KI and by KI researchers.

All researchers are awarded three million SEK per year during the grant period 2022–2024. That is a total amount of 35 million SEK.

Yihai Cao at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology, is awarded grants for the project ”Implementation of a zebrafish cancer model for diagnosing human cancer invasion and predicting drug responses”.

Birgitta Henriques-Normark at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology, is awarded grants for the project ”Rapid and sensitive sequence-based methods for diagnosis of bacterial and viral respiratory infections and corresponding host responses”.

Vicente Pelechano Garcia at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology, is awarded grants for the project ”Development of a novel tool for diagnosis and prevention of antimicrobial resistance”.

Kenny Rodriguez-Wallberg at the Deparment of Oncology-Pathology, is awarded grants for the project ”Maximizing The Female Ovarian Reserve - A Translational Project To Increase The Fertility Potential Of The Ovary”.
