Hybridkonferens: DevRes skapar nätverks- och samarbetsmöjligheter
Uppsala universitet och Karolinska Institutet anordnar DevRes-konferensen som syftar till att främja nätverkande och samverkan mellan forskare, offentliga myndigheter, beslutsfattare, organisationer och praktiker - för att hitta lösningar mot fattigdom och utveckla strategier för framtiden för hållbar utveckling.
Årets Development Research-konferens (DevRes), 22-24 August 2022, på temat "Transforming development research for sustainability” arrangeras av GlobeLife, ett gemensamt initiativ av Uppsala universitet och Karolinska Institutet.
Det går att delta både fysiskt och online och det kommer finnas en chatt-funktion. Konferensen kommer dag 1 hållas på Uppsala Universitet, dag 2 online och dag 3 på Karolinska Institutet.
Vi har ställt några frågor till Laran Matta, en av arrangörerna från Uppsala Universitet, om DevRes-konferensen:
Vad kan jag förvänta mig av att delta på konferensen?
"You will get opportunities to hear about how we can achieve sustainability in health for both humans and our planet and the necessary steps that must be taken to transform development research for sustainability. The conference will provide opportunities for participants to network with other researchers, students and practitioners involved in development research, both in Sweden and abroad. Sessions will be both informative but also participatory and will foster discourse and collaboration", säger Laran Matta, projektkoordinator, Uppsala Universitet.
Vad är syftet med konferensen?
"The conference aims to promote networking and collaboration between researchers, public agencies, policy makers, organisations and practitioners, in order to find solutions for poverty and develop strategies for the future of sustainable development".
Vad ser du mest fram emot?
"We are looking forward to engaging with so many different stakeholders and participants on the future of development research over the 3 days of the conference. We are particularly excited about the Public Event which is a panel discussion about Sweden’s new strategy for development research cooperation and is a part of the conference that is free for all to attend!".
