Symposier - anslag för organisering av 1-2 dagars symposium inom barncancerforskning. Generellt gäller att symposier ska förläggas inom Norden och vara öppna för nationellt/internationellt deltagande.
Forskarutbildningskurser - anslag för organisering av forskarutbildningskurser eller andra relevanta kurser inom området barnonkologi.
Metodikstudier och utbildningskurs - anslag för kortare tids forskning/metodikstudier vid en utländsk institution (upp till 3 månader) samt utbildningskurser för ej kliniskt verksam person.
Gästföreläsare - bidrag för inbjudande av enskilda internationellt framstående gästföreläsare som håller offentlig föreläsning med stark betydelse för barncancer.

RJ Programmes 2025 - Riksbankens Jubileumsfond
This call supports joint, well-integrated research tasks in the social sciences and humanities that a larger group of researchers connected to Sweden conducts over a relatively long period. Programmes require a highly developed research environment or researcher network, with advanced expertise on the part of the researchers and the research leader. Typically, these types of research groups are well-established in the international research community and make significant contributions to national and international research.

Mental ill-health and suicide prevention 2025 – Forte
Project grants within the research program on mental health should facilitate the implementation of a defined research project designed to contribute to increased knowledge in line with the call´s purpose.
Applications under this call should address one or more of the following areas: (1) Causes and mechanisms of development of psychiatric conditions and suicide; (2) Methods and interventions for people with mental ill-health and illness; (3) Organisation and conditions of the health and social care system. One can apply for a maximum of SEK 5 million for three-year projects and SEK 6 million for four-year projects.

Forskningsanslag och stipendier - Dr Per Håkanssons stiftelse
Stiftelsen delar ut stipendier och anslag till vetenskaplig forskning inom ämnesområdena medicinsk kemi, fysiologi och livsmedelskemi. Anslag/stipendium delas ut till yngre forskare vid svenska universitet. Personliga post-doktorala utbildningsbidrag kan ges direkt till den person det avser. Varje anslag/stipendium har tidigare år legat mellan 500.000-1.000.000 kronor. Projekt kan rekommenderas för tvååriga anslag.

Stiftelsen Blanceflor tar emot ansökningar för Short-Term och Long-Term Scholarships!
Ansökningarna handlar både om Short-Term Scholarships en vistelse normalt kortare än sex månader för studier/forskning utomlands och Long-Term Scholarships där utlandsvistelsen omfattar kring ett år eller längre. För fleråriga vistelser finns möjligheten att söka även ett andra år. Kvalificerade att söka är Italienska och svenska medborgare med ett studie/forskningsprojekt på högre akademisk nivå inom Medicin/Life Science, Naturvetenskap eller Teknik i ett av följande länder: Italien (ej italienska medborgare), Japan, Kanada, Schweiz, Sverige (ej svenska medborgare), Storbritannien, Tyskland eller USA.

Research Grant: European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA)
ESRA supports research in or in cooperation with an ESRA approved training institution in regional anaesthesia and pain medicine.
Eligibility: The proposed research projects are preferentially performed in Europe. Grants will be given preferably to those who apply for a research program headed by an ESRA member. Grants will be given preferably to those who have already done research on regional anaesthesia or pain management and published their results as a first or senior author in peer reviewed international journal.

Nakao Foundation for Worldwide Oral Health
The Nakao Foundation for Worldwide Oral Health invites applications for its grants. These supports basic research, clinical research and educational programme in oral health contributing to a healthy and long-living society and to a high quality of life. Projects should fall into one of the following topics:
•minimum intervention dentistry;
•oral health for ageing population;
•oral functions;
•oral frailty;
•oral health literacy.

European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) - European Commission (EC)
The main goal of the Deep Tech Venture Builder Programme is to transform deep tech academic research projects into ventures. The programme is looking for academic teams or researchers with projects in Deep Tech that are focusing on MedTech and Digital Health, with solutions that address pressing challenges in the healthcare sector.
The 10-month programme is structured in two phases: Phase 1 focuses on team creation, business idea development and prototyping. Phase 2 targets the minimum viable product (MVP) and market validation. To successfully complete Phase 1 and be considered for Phase 2, applicants will need to submit several deliverables that are linked to the achievement of certain milestones, one of which being company incorporation.
Upper Amount: €210,000EUR
An overall financial amount of €2.7 million is available for this first edition of the programme. In Phase 1, up to 20 teams will receive financial support for a successful application to participate in the programme. Up to 10 teams that successfully complete Phase 1 and pass through Gate 2 into Phase 2 will receive financial support from EIT Health.
Each project will receive up to €60,000 as a grant during Phase 1. After completion of the first phase, and if successfully evaluated by an external expert committee, the project shall pass to Phase 2. During Phase 2, projects that incorporate as a startup could receive additional funding from EIT Health in the form of a grant-to-option agreement of up to €150,000. In Phase 1, an additional 30% co-funding is expected. Co-founding totalling 30% of total incurred costs is requested from consortium members for Phase 2. The maximum duration of EIT Health financial support in Phase 1 is 5 months and will last until 13 July 2025, at the latest. Phase 2 lasts up to 5 months from 01 August 2025 to 31 December 2025.

Of specific interest is research that identifies mechanisms by which social disconnection confers risk for, and social integration protects against, suicidal thoughts and behaviors in late life. Abstract: The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (FOA) is to enhance mechanistic and epidemiologic investigations addressing the roles of co-infection and cancer to shed light on presently unestablished pathways in carcinogenesis that may inform prevention and treatment strategies for infection-related cancers. Co-infection is defined as the occurrence of infections by two or more infectious (pathogenic or non-pathogenic) agents – either concurrently or sequentially – and includes both acute and chronic infections by viruses, bacteria, parasites, and/or other microorganisms. Preference will be given to investigations of co-infections with known oncogenic agents (excluding human immunodeficiency virus [HIV]) and of co-infections that engender novel opportunities for prevention and treatment.

Amount: Up to $12,000,000. 40% indirect cost coverage.
Eligibility: In general, applications for the conduct of research and management of funding may be submitted by appropriate academic research, private sector research, or study-conducting entities. Individuals are not permitted to apply. Foreign organizations and nondomestic components of US organizations must provide a thorough and thoughtful justification for the research’s ability to benefit the US healthcare system and must show that the engagement plans include US patients and stakeholders and are relevant to the US healthcare system.
Abstract: This funding opportunity seeks applications addressing at least one of four of PCORI’s National Priorities for Health. To be considered responsive, applications must propose research meeting the distinctive requirements of this PFA and address at least one of the following National Priorities for Health: Increase Evidence for Existing Interventions and Emerging Innovations in Health; Achieve Health Equity; Accelerate Progress Toward an Integrated Learning Health System; and/or Advance the Science of Dissemination, Implementation and Health Communication. Breakthrough T1D, US – Advancing Technologies to Enhance Engraftment in Cell Therapy for T1D

Amount: $600,000. This program will award grants of up to $300,000 per year for 2 years. Indirect costs are capped at 10%.
Eligibility: Applicants must hold an MD, DMD, DVM, PhD, or equivalent and have a faculty position or equivalent at a college, university, medical school, or other research facility. Please note that applications from for-profit entities or industry collaborations with academia may be submitted in response to this RFA. Additional information will be requested from for-profit entities if invited to submit a full proposal.
Abstract: The goal of this funding opportunity is to advance technologies that support the engraftment of insulin-producing cells following transplantation at extrahepatic sites for T1D cell therapy. Proposals eligible for consideration will focus on strategies addressing the various challenges encountered at alternative transplantation sites during the peri-transplant period due to inflammation, hypoxia, and poor vascularization to enhance survival, engraftment, and function of transplanted cells. Proposals focused on advancing technologies into late preclinical and early clinical development will be prioritized.
American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), US - ASLMS Research Grant Program

Amount: Up to $70,000, for a length of 12 months. Indirect costs are capped at 10%.
Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must presently be enrolled in or have completed post-doctoral and/or residency training after January 1, 2017. All non-ASLMS members will be required to apply for and be accepted into ASLMS membership.
Abstract: The primary purpose of the ASLMS Research Grant Program is to conduct research which can be applied to medical and surgical care of patients. Preference will be given to proposed research projects which have a direct implication for medical or surgical applications. Grant funds may be used for all costs associated with the research project. Equipment requests included as part of a proposal will be reviewed thoroughly to determine the necessity of the equipment for the proposed research. Proposals which include equipment requests that are superfluous to the proposed research project will reduce the likelihood that the project will be considered for funding.
